Why is «New Names» a wonderful project? For me personally - by the conciseness of collections: if a young designer has something to say, the mini-collection in 12 outfits can give an answer - whether «our meeting was an mistake» or a designer needed to grow up, so we didn't have «to suffer» on a long defile.
The duet of Nataliya Kamenskaya and Olesya Kononova showed mini-collection of little black dresses, slightly wrong and delicately deformed, some with straps, as in shoulder pads, some with the bulky silhouette of hare on a side, pair of little black overcoats - and became clearly, that girls can pleasantly surprise fashionable public in the future. Accessories (necklaces, pendants) and decor in bright pink color and in form of hares, which became the main chip of collection, where immediately taken in the backstage. Designers successfully managed to push in small collection an adequate masculine complete set, and white dress with flounces and train, fashionable «splashed» by black and red, and high leather boots which give to a glam–rock girl the illusion of unbelievable long feet.
Valeriy de Corsar perfectly feels the plastic of fabric, masterly works with bulky forms and proportions and aims non–standardness and avant-garde. In women's models he worked well with a top – expressly underlined the line of shoulder, sharp sleeves, for men's he offered trousers of bastard cut with the low codpiece, between the legs of pants there is the pleated insertion which reminds the Indian pantaloons, straight short dress with a bulky hem out of multicolored tulle flounce.
In year 2007 Julia Gerasko won the Grand–prix in the competition of young designers «Fashion Seasons – look in the future», but her geometrical collection «Anniversary soon» turned out absolutely students', as though you are watching the defence of a diploma project in the University of Design; grey, yellow and green circles, rectangles and squares, asymmetric sewn together and sewn upon short trapezoids–sleeveless jackets. The competent knitted fabric - knee socks, leggings, bastard bags, shoes with weaved elements a little softens the first impression.
Lioudmila Boldyreva graduated Central St. Martins College of of Art and Design, lived in the USA, and talks that her collection is devoted to the synthesis of different cultures. And in a «mixer», certainly, there will be a place for the pantaloons with a smock with a large hood out of transparent golden fabric, as though from «Thousand and one night», and for the ribbed futuristic jackets, and for the mantles.
A lot of interesting things were in men's collection which was shown by Marina Kuts - pantaloons with the effect of double belt, shirts, sewn out of the silk and hand-made knitted fabric, cloaks with the ink-stains, which remind sky with clouds, pantaloons - very narrow and very wide. Pleksyglass pockets on a shirt and buttonhole out of spikes - a showy touch to whimsical, but pleasant appearance. Collection is integral and carefully thought out.
