Program "Vikna" of the television channel STB decided to be involved in the capitals decoration connected with the Independence Day. "In this holiday everything has to be nice-decorated even monuments!" - declared representatives from the television. And decided to start from the Lesya Ukrainka (monument stands on the square with the same name in the center of Kyiv). Tetyana Zemskova and Olena Vorozhbyt, famous Ukrainian designer duet, were invited to create holiday clothes. It took 4 days, more than 30 meters of fabrics and certain geodesic devices to calculate the size of the clothes with mathematic exactness to create the dress according to the style of that time, when Ukrainka lived.

Designers professionalism was so high that dress was created exactly of the necessary size. However, the problem was that machines ordered to dress Lesya Ukrainka in holiday clothes appeared too low. Then they ordered another machines but the fountain did not let them close. That’s why alpinists, firemen, builders together with advices of the pedestrians dressed unapproachable Ukrainian woman. In the program "Vikna" an entire country was granted good-looking Lesya!



P.S. Now everyone is worried, how to „undress" large Ukrainka, in fact that dress from Zemskova/Vorozhbyt has to be passed to the property of museum of poetess on August, 27.
