Press-conference and after-party Ukrainian Fashion Games-Peloponnesus took place in the restaurant “Turgeneff” on May, 19, 2009. This event was the bright summary of the “Greece holidays” of Ukrainian designers, which was organized with the help of the travel company “Albiz-Tour”.

The shows of the collections and numerous photo sessions on the exotic landscapes, “Olympic games” involving models and designers, great folk parties and excursions to the historic places took place on the hospitable coast of the Ionian Sea. Guests of the 5-star hotel ALDEMAR OLYMPIAN VILLAGE saw shows of the summer collections by Anna Bublik, Tetyana Zemskova and Olena Vorozhbyt, Olena Dats’, Oleksiy Zalevskiy, Svitlana Savorona, Natalya Kamenskaya and Olesya Kononova, collection “Goddesses of Ellada” – one outfit from each designer, devoted to this sunny land with rich history and bright present time. Designers, models, photographers, journalists, stylists and more than 100 Ukrainian guests of this event were very inspired.

Show took place in the one of the congress-halls of the hotel Aldemar Olimpian Village 5**** against the background of the Ionian Sea. Collections of the project participants were presented after the first word of the Head of the Organizing Committee of UFW and the President of Ukrainian Fashion Council Iryna Danylevska. Among the guests of the evening was Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Greece Mr. Valeriy Tsybuh. In his first word Ambassador welcomed the project participants and thanked them for the Ukraine’s positive image creation. And director of tourism from travel company “Albiz-Tour” Ms. Olena Nemensha stressed that more and more Ukrainian people open for themselves Greece as the ideal place for the holiday rest. The evening ended with solemn gala-supper with national Greece songs and dances.

Organizing Committee of Ukrainian Fashion Week and Ukrainian Fashion Council organize Ukrainian Fashion Games project for many years. Ukrainian Fashion Games is taking place abroad with the participation of Ukrainian designers. This project is devoted to promotion of creativeness and business of Ukrainian designers abroad.

Last year sessions of Ukrainian Fashion Games took place in Deli, Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Prague. In the spring 2008 UFGames took place in Washington, where Ukrainian designers took part in DC Fashion Week. On the beginning of 2009 Ukrainian Fashion Council, Organizing Committee of UFW and Organizing Committee of international exhibition Prêt-A-Porter Paris organized the participation of Ukrainian designers in this prestige event.
